Green Curtain Theatre ran a one day workshop in June 2019. This was part of the Hammersmith & Fulham Arts Festival 2019 and the objective of the event was to show delegates, most of whom had little or no experience of performance or recording, what is involved in putting together a radio play or podcast while having a bit of fun along the way. All participants got to try their hand in the various parts of the process (acting, producing sound effects, recording the performance etc) and it was a most enjoyable experience for participants and workshop leaders alike. The culmination of the day’s activities was the recording of a gripping (!) science fiction thriller entitled “The Day a Spaceman Landed in Hammmersmith”.  The whole performance was recorded live during the workshop at the Hammersmith Cultural Centre with minor post recording adjustments made.
