Body and Blood by Lorraine Mullaney

Body and Blood was staged in October 2016 at the Lion and Unicorn, Kentish Town and The Colour House Theatre, Colliers Wood as part of the “In the Shadow and In the Shelter” play festival.

8-body-and-blood_jimmy-and-aileenAlthough arranged marriages remained in existence in rural Ireland as late as the 1970s, very few people have heard about them. Playwright Lorraine Mullaney chose to write this play as it reflected the experience of a member of her family.
